  • F-Zero - by Dan

    Introduction:

Futuristic racing game where instead of fighting wars they race. The storyline is the best racers join to race on different tracks on different planets to settle their disputes. Captain falcon mans the blue falcon, dr. Stuart is in the golden fox, pico a soldier from death wind in the wild goose, and finally samurai goroh in the fire stingray.

    Graphics [8/10]:

The graphics are pretty smooth the only time there not is when you go around tight corners, or you collide with another racer. The track is elevated above the ground so the ground looks distant, and on the mute city levels the background is awesome.

    Music and Sound [9/10]:

This game has good music which basically different for each track. The music is fast pace and exciting. Sometimes i catch myself listening to the music while i'm running into the wall. The only time the music skips is when you hit the excellarator really fast. The sound is just as better. The sound hitting the walll and hittin another racer is completely different. The engines are the best I've heard from any snes car game.

    Game Play [9/10]:

With three levels of skill and and 15 different tracks you will find yourself really getting into the game. You will notice that after a while the tracks will seem boring i suggest trying a different car or putting the game on a different skill level.
In my mind the best car for beginners is the blue falcon. This car has good balance and decent speed, it takes a decent amount of damage. The best car for intermediate drivers would be the wild goose. This car takes a lot of while it has good speed and good handling. The best car overall and the best for advanced racers is the fire stingray. This car has the best handling. When you go around corners you don't lose speed, and it is the fastest. Its only flaw is it's weight. It is so heavy it takes a lap for it to get up to speed, that is the main reason it is difficult to drive.

    Challenge and Replay [7/10]:

This game is very easy, but the replay factor is high. The only challenge of this game is beating king league on hard. The only really track the i have trouble with is the final track in the king league fire field.

    Overall\Conclusion [8/10]:

In my mind this is a must have for any action packed racing game fan. Since it still sells pretty well you can get one new for 15 (us) dollars.
